Shane Farrell signs new deal

Drogheda United are delighted to announce that midfielder Shane Farrell has signed a new deal with the club.

The 24-year-old first joined the club in July, having previously made over 170 appearances for Shelbourne.

Farrell became a key player in Kevin Doherty’s side, making 16 appearances in 2024, as the club retained Premier Division status and won the FAI Cup.

“It feels amazing to be back. I’ve loved every minute since arriving in the summer. The club, Kevin, and all of the staff have treated me so well, and I can’t wait to get back to work now.

“The Drogs fans are the best in the league, I’m glad they took to me as soon as they did. They’ll be massive for us again next year, they just give you that boost that we saw all throughout last season,” Farrell said.
