Drogheda United can confirm that Ryan O’Shea has departed the club.
All at Drogheda United wish Ryan the best in the future and thank him for his contribution, since re-joining the club in 2019.
Ryan had previously played for our U17 side in 2016 and 2017 before a spell with St. Patrick’s Athletic.
O’Shea made his first team debut in 2019, scoring twice in nine appearances, in a 4-1 league win away to Limerick, and the winner in an FAI Cup tie at home to Avondale United.
In total, O’Shea made 18 senior appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
“Ryan got in when Conor Kane was injured at the start of the season. He played four or five games and done really well for us.
“Conor came back in and was doing so well, and Ryan wasn’t playing, so it’s totally understandable. He told me he was leaving early in the summer then in the window. It’s unfortunate, he’s a very good player,” Tim Clancy said.
