The club appreciate the support of our local politicians this season and two of them popped along to meet the players this week.

Mayor James Byrne – who now has a ground board – met skipper Dane Massey and General Manager Hubert Murphy. James has a great link to the club as his late father, Tommy, lined out for the team back in the 1960s.

Cllr Michelle Hall also came along to meet Darragh Nugent. She is sponsoring his away jersey this season.

They both said they were delighted to get behind the club and wished them the best of luck for the season.
