IT promises to be a day to remember and reflect on April 30th when the Liverpool Legends take on a Laytown United selection in the David Conroy Memorial Cup match.
A great friend of both Drogheda Utd and the Laytown club, David’s role in both clubs will be marked by what promises to be a truly memorable and fitting occasion.
Three of David’s children Alex, Dayne and Heidi joined Damien and Owen from the David Conroy Memorial Cup committee and Drogheda United General Manager Hubert Murphy at Head in the Game Park for the launch.
The three kids were also lucky enough to have a little kickabout on the pitch that will play host to Liverpool Legends including Ronnie Whelan, John Aldridge and Alan Kennedy in just over two months time.
The organisers have been granted permission to allow an additional 500 spectators on April 30th, and these tickets can be bought using the link buk.ie/legendsfordave
