Drogheda United are delighted to announce that Killian Phillips has signed a new deal with the club.
The teenager, who turned 19 in March, made his first senior appearance for the club in a friendly away to Dundalk in July 2020.
Phillips remained with the first team squad for the remainder of the 2020 season, being named on the bench for six league games while playing for our U19 side.
Phillips made his competitive debut for the club in a league game at home to Shamrock Rovers in April.
The versatile midfielder, who can also play at centre-half, has now made 13 appearances so far this season, scoring once, in the 7-0 win over Waterford.
“Killian has emerged as one of the outstanding young talents in the league and we are delighted to secure him for the near future,” manager Tim Clancy said.
“I’m delighted to extend my contract with Drogheda. I’m really enjoying my football and continually learning off Tim, Kev, and my teammates. It’s a great club and the best place for me at this stage of my career,” Phillips said.
