Drogheda United are delighted to announce the signing of Kieran Cruise from Bray Wanderers.
The 20-year-old came through Shamrock Rovers academy, and made his league debut as a substitute against Waterford in November 2021.
Cruise made further senior appearances for Rovers in 2022 and 2023, scoring his first senior goal in a 4-0 win against UCD in June 2023.
Cruise also made his European debut for Shamrock Rovers against Ferencvaros in the Europa Conference League in August 2023.
A move to Bray Wanderers followed for Cruise, who was a regular for the Seagulls, making 39 appearances in all competitions throughout 2024.
“I’m delighted to be here, it only took one call with Kevin for me to be honest. I don’t think anyone coming in is going to need to be convinced. Drogheda is on an upward trajectory and I can’t wait to be part of that.
“I played further up in a left wing role last year with Bray but I would be more naturally a left wing back or left back. I love to get on the ball, make chances, get assists and goals.
“Going into full time football, with a European campaign to look forward to, playing with the FAI Cup winners, I just can’t wait to get going,” Cruise said.
