Drogheda United are delighted to announce that Jack Tuite has signed a new deal with the club.
Tuite is the twelfth player to be announced from Tim Clancy’s 2021 Premier Division squad.
The defender joined the club in November 2019 from Pat Devlin’s Cabinteely, where he had played for two seasons.
Tuite made twelve competitive appearances in both the league and FAI Cup for Drogheda in 2020 and scored his first goal in 5-1 win against UCD in March.
“It was an easy decision to sign back and to play Premier Division football. Tim & Kev make it a place to really enjoy your football,” Tuite said.
“I felt the season went well for me personally. I missed about four games with an injury but overall I think we deservedly won the league and that was our ambition at the start of the season.
“As a team we have to look at staying in the division and keeping our place in a league where Drogheda belongs. I’m sure over the coming weeks Tim & Kev will be letting us all know what they want to achieve.
“I really hope the supporters can come back. We saw the fans for the Longford and UCD games at home & it makes a massive difference.”
