Drogheda United defender Emmanuel Adegboyega has signed professional terms with the club.
Adegboyega rejoined the club from Dundalk ahead of the 2023 season, having previously played for Drogheda in 2021 at U19 level.
“I’m delighted that Manny has signed professional terms with us. He has been exceptional this season,” manager Kevin Doherty stated.
Adegboyega has been a mainstay in the Drogheda defence this season, alongside Conor Keeley at centre back. The teenager has made 20 league appearances, scoring once.
That goal came in Drogheda’s first meeting with UCD this season as he headed in the only goal of the game, connecting with Dayle Rooney’s free kick delivery.
