Drogheda United FC is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with leading sportswear brand Macron and their distribution partner PP Teamwear, effective from the 2025 season.
This collaboration marks an important step in the club’s journey as it aims to grow its presence on and off the pitch, with bespoke kit designs already in the works to reflect the unique identity and passion of Drogheda United.
Matt Cowley, Commercial Director at PP Teamwear, expressed his enthusiasm:
“It is a genuine privilege to announce this partnership with Drogheda United. I was fortunate enough to attend the match against Walsall earlier this year, and the passion from the fans and everyone involved left a lasting impression. This is our second partnership with a Trivela-owned club, and from what we’ve seen in the UK, Drogheda is poised for an exciting future—one we’re thrilled to be part of. Alongside Macron, we look forward to delivering kits that both players and supporters will wear with pride. Up the Drogs!”
Andrea Palilla, National Manager at Macron, also highlighted the significance of the partnership:
“We are absolutely delighted to join forces with Drogheda United, a club with renewed ambitions. Their history, deep ties to the local community, and passionate supporters inspire us to develop unique collections that reflect the spirit of the club. We are confident that together, we’ll create designs that fans will proudly wear for years to come.”
Wesley Hill, Executive Director, Drogheda United, added:
“Macron has a fantastic reputation for producing high-quality kits, and working with them so far has been a great experience. We’re excited about the bespoke designs planned for next season, including home, away, and third kits that truly capture our vision. Having witnessed Macron’s growth not only in football but across the broader sports world, we look forward to developing this relationship further and seeing what the future holds.”
Additionally, Drogheda United confirms that its partnership with the club’s current kit manufacturer, Errea, will conclude at the end of the 2024 season. Errea has been a valued technical partner since 2023, providing home, away, and third kits, along with training wear.
Niamh Leonard, Director, Drogheda United reflected on the partnership with Errea:
“Errea has been a fantastic partner, and we’ve enjoyed working with them over the years to produce some incredible kits. The relationship we’ve built with their team has been excellent, and we sincerely appreciate all they’ve done for the club.”
