Drogheda United have been given some ‘extra power’ thanks to local councillor Declan Power who has stepped in to become another of the great partners at the club.

Declan was on hand this week to unveil his new ground board and feels backing local sports and business is the way forward for the community.

His motto is ‘Support Local Business – shop small to grow a community’ and he says it has never been more important to get behind local services.

“I’m delighted to support Drogheda United and wish them well in the future,” he stated.

“We have gotten great support from members of the political world this season, in terms of ground boards, player sponsorship and other options. It’s all about growing community and helping each other and we at the club want to be central in helping this town grow and blossom in the years ahead,” General Manager Hubert Murphy stated.
