Drogheda United are delighted to announce that Dayle Rooney has signed a new deal with the club.

The 24-year-old has made 28 appearances this season, scoring three times, including two stunning strikes in our last two games against Shelbourne & Derry.

Drogs manager Kevin Doherty expressed his delight at the news.

“Dayle has been magnificent for us and I’m delighted he has committed his future to the club. He is so hard working, extremely talented and dedicated to what we are trying to build at the club,” he stated.

“He has a great attitude and is another of the players we need to keep at Drogheda United.”
