Drogheda United are delighted to announce that Conor Kane has signed a new deal with the club.
Kane is the first player announced from Tim Clancy’s Premier Division squad for the 2021 season.
The 22 year-old left-back first joined Drogheda from St. Patrick’s Athletic ahead of the 2017 season.
Since then, Kane has gone on to make 108 appearance for the Boynesiders and started in all 19 of Drogheda’s competitive games this season.
Kane also scored his first goal for Drogheda in a 3-1 win away to Galway United in the final week of the 2020 season.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time with Drogheda. Also playing under Tim and Kev was a massive influence (in signing back). I really enjoy playing for them. We had a great season last year so looking to continue that trend,” Kane said after signing for the 2021 season.
“I would love to have fans back in the stadiums next year especially in United Park. It gives you that extra push when you have a packed ground on match day.
“After winning the league last season, the goal would be to have a positive season with our first season back in the Premier Division,” Kane said.
