Drogheda United can confirm that Brandon Bermingham has departed the club.

The forward is set to make the move to America this week to begin a four year scholarship at William Carey University in Mississippi.

Bermingham was a vital member of the First Division title winning side last season, scoring five goals in 17 appearances for his local side in his first full season in senior football.

The first of those in a 2-2 draw against Shamrock Rovers, a goal which would be voted as Drogheda United Fans’ Goal of the Season for 2020.
