Drogheda United are delighted to announce the signing of Aaron McNally.
Aaron is a former Drogheda United Academy player who most recently played with Brazos Valley Cavalry F.C. in USL League Two.
McNally played for Drogheda, Longford, and Dundalk at underage level between 2016 and 2019, making his senior debut for Dundalk in a Leinster Senior Cup tie against Athlone in 2019.
The 22-year-old returned to Longford and played the 2020 First Division and 2021 Premier Division seasons with the Midlands club before making the move Stateside.
During his time at Brazos Valley Cavalry, McNally was part of the Cavalry squad that won the USL 2 Lone Star Division, before his side lost out in the play-offs to Asheville City SC.
He is the second new signing made by Kevin Doherty for 2023, following the announcement of Sean Brennan earlier today.
The pair join Evan Weir, Dayle Rooney, Emre Topçu, Adam Foley, Ryan Brennan, Luke Heeney and Darragh Noone in the squad for next season.
