National Under 19 League Shield Quarter Final.
The Drogs came out on top in this tough encounter on Saturday in a match which was postponed from the previous weekend.
After a scoreless first half, where they rode their luck at times against a dangerous home attack, the Drogs played really well in the second half and were unlucky not to be awarded two penalties, before they eventually took the lead on 70 minutes when striker Levi Boardman headed home a great John Barry free kick. Sub Tom Adeyinka made it 2-0 to the Drogs on 85 minutes when the former Albion Rovers man made a brilliant run down down the right and hit an unstoppable shot past the home keeper.
From the restart, Harps attacked and the Drogs defence blocked a shot on the line, and the ref awarded a red card and a penalty. Harps got their consolation goal, but the Drogs were not to be denied and they now face Waterford in the Semi-Final next Saturday 27th.
