By Jim MacArdle

This was a game of two halves where the Drogs played second fiddle to Harps in the first half, were 2-0 down at half time, but made a great recovery in the second half, were unlucky not to come away with a point.

The Drogs fielded with Eoin Broughan, Oisin Proudfoot and Ryan Harte in midfield with Levi Boardman and Jordan Adeyemo up front. After a few initial Drogs attacks, Finn Harps hit the bar after 2 minutes and as the game went on, they put the home defence and midfield under serious pressure and took the lead on 11 minutes in a great attack. The Drogs defence were being harried by a strong running Harps team which looked like scoring on almost every attack. They added their second goal on 20 minutes following some poor passing out of the home defence. The Drogs did well to keep the score to 2-0 at half time.

The Drogs started the second half with purpose and soon brought on Josh Scully and Tom Adeyinka and they took a grip on midfield and they pulled a goal back on the hour when Tom Adeyinka made room for himseld in a crowded penalty are a scored with a good shot. The Drogs pressed hard for the equaliser and brought on Dylan Cullotty for a welcome return to the team after being injured in the frost match of the season, but try as they might, they could not equalise and Harps made it 3-1 in a breakaway attack in the last minute of normal time. In the third minute of added time Jordan Adeyemo scored from a penalty, but the Drogs will rue a lacklustre first half performance. .
