Drogheda United manager Tim Clancy has this evening further strengthened his squad with the additions of Kealen Dillon and Victor Ekanem.
The duo, who had been on trial at United Park in pre-season, will be available for next Friday’s season opener at home to Finn Harps.
Midfielder Dillon had spells at both Hull City and St Mirren as a youth before returning to Ireland to sign for Athlone Town.
Despite their relegation, the 23-year-old enjoyed a fine season as he netted four times in 32 games which earned him a move to Bohemians.
He made 21 appearances for the Gypsies before moving to Longford Town where he has spent the last two seasons.
Centre-back Ekanem is no stranger to United Park having played for the Boynesiders in 2011, lining out 16 times.
The former Shamrock Rovers and Longford man then joined Leinster Senior League side Phoenix FC before returning to League of Ireland football with Cabinteely in 2015.
The 28-year-old was a regular at Stardbrook Road before injury last season restricted him to only a handful of appearances.
